Gittermans wealth management group has raised $1 billion in a new round of funding led by a Chinese venture capital firm.
Gitterman, the world’s largest wealth management company, will use the money to improve its digital asset platform, and to scale up its asset management services and services for small businesses, according to the statement.
Gittman has more than 10,000 employees in the US, Canada, China and Mexico, according a statement from the firm.
The Gittermen announcement follows a $1.2bn investment by a private equity firm in April.
Gitcoin, a digital asset trading platform and blockchain company, has raised about $5.7bn since 2016, and has grown rapidly in the last two years.
Gitorin raised $3.1bn in 2016, a significant increase from just $1m in 2015.
It now has a market capitalisation of $14.5bn, according CoinDesk.GITCoin’s investors include Sequoia Capital, KKR Global, TPG Capital and TPG.
Getterman is one of the worlds biggest wealth management companies and the largest in China.
