Trump on Thursday touted a plan to make Mexico pay for a wall on the U.S.-Mexico border as he was inaugurated to the White House.

“If Mexico is unwilling to pay for the wall, I will send my Treasury Secretary and Secretary of State to negotiate a fair trade deal,” Trump said during a White House news conference.

“I’m going to make that happen.”

Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto has said he would like the U,S.

to fund the wall but has not committed to paying for it.

Trump also said Mexico will pay for an additional $15 billion in infrastructure projects that would be funded through trade deals.
